DISCOGRAPHY

SOUNDS

My musical journey began with choir during my early elementary days and continued all through grade school. This passion I had for singing later became the gateway to learning several instruments, and before I knew it I began writing songs and performing in bands. After going through the recording process on a handful of projects, I began to question why my band’s recordings never quite sounded as good as the other albums I listened to. My curiosity for studios began to grow, and my fascination for sound lead me to discover my true love for recording and mixing.

I became so engrossed by the mystery behind great recordings that I enrolled in the Audio Production program at The Art Institute of Seattle, where I earned my Associates degree. This experience immediately put things in motion, enabling me to apply this new set of skills working as an Assistant Engineer for Tom Pfaeffle (The Black Crowes, Heart, Love Mongers/Ann Wilson, Queensryche, and Scorpions) at The Tank Studio. I later became a full-time Audio Engineer at Victory Studios (largest post production studio in the NW), and simultaneously worked as a freelance engineer for up and coming Seattle acts, as well as signed artists. During my time spent in the Seattle area, I had the privilege of learning from some of the finest engineers in the industry, allowing me to intently observe, practice, and mash up a variety of engineering techniques and methods – molding my own style.

In 2008, my family and I ventured home to Idaho where I actively work as a freelance producer/engineer for various artists (Youth Lagoon, SILVA, Cruisr, The Environment, etc.). In addition, I’m currently the Senior Audio Engineer for AudioBrander, LLC, which specializes in producing specialty music for the use of marketing and web media.

My hobbies include hanging out with my family, song writing, listening to old vinyl records, researching and indulging in new movies and music, flipping through audio magazines, skateboarding, playing tennis and soccer, researching mixing techniques, and nerding out on Apple gadgets and other consumer electronics.
